Cats, turtles, guinea pigs, and other animals appear against the beautiful backdrop of Enoshima in "Kaigandori no Neko Mimi Tantei," a story that depicts witty conversation and friendship between two men.

≪Story≫
Teru Nekozuka (Hikaru Makishima) is looking for his pet cat, Mimi, who went missing on Shonan beach. Kosuke Saruoka (Masato Wada) is a pet detective based in Shonan. When Nekozuka visits Saruoka's agency to reqest his help in finding Mimi, shennanigans ensue as the two of them look for Mimi together. Saruoka finds Mimi - and discovers she has been bringing joy to a Mr and Mrs Suzumata (Hiroshi Ito and Mami Shibusawa). Nekozuka quietly watches Mimi with the couple, feeling tender. He realizes that Mimi is a cat that saves all kinds of people.

However, Nekozuka is broke and cannot afford the detective's fee, so he has to work off his debt. One day, a young boy named Yuta Miura (Sou Kikuchi) visits the agency. Saruoka turns him away due to his age - but Nekozuka insists they help. It turns out that Yuta's parents (Shinji Ozeki, Mari Hoshino) are currently in the mediation stage of divorce. Nekozuka's parents are also divorced, and he feels connected to the boy. Rookie pet detective Nekozuka and Yuta search for Yuta's cat, Gonta... while Saruoka watches over them kindly from the shadows. When they find Gonta, Mr and Mrs Miura, Nekozuka and Saruoka witness a miracle...
